Artist Geno Luketic will present how they collect and process Ohio clay for their ceramic practice.
Geno will share a visual presentation of his art practice, process and the place where he creates and collaborates. He will share the art of woodfiring, collecting and processing wild clay and his explorations into the sustainability of clay based making. One set of collaborators, terrestrial crayfish of Southern Ohio are a featured guest (though none will actually join us for the talk). He will bring a wild clay petting zoo and miniature illustration of local Waynesville clay refinement, testing and use. His presentation is titled: HOLDING SPACE - Clay and Place.
